A Home For Christmas

Winter usually had people's moods souring because there was less daylight and it was constantly cold outside. And more often than not, snow would fall from the sky, covering the ground in white. However, for twenty-nine year old Bill Kaulitz, none of the negatives winter brought on, mattered at all. He was in such a good mood that everyone who saw him couldn't help but smile as well.

Bill was thrilled beyond belief and had been for the last month since him and his husband, Tomica, got word that their adoption request had been accepted and the little boy they'd met a few times now in Munich would legally be their son. In your shadowThe crowd was so loud that night. The lights shone like the sun on midday, maybe even brighter. His feelings, though, was as dark as the night. The evening had just begun, and still it was as if it never should have started. It never should! His only thought was about how to make it stop, how to make the evening end. Without him having to do a thing. But that probably was impossible. As impossible as he knew it was, he wanted it. He wanted it all to end. Right now, at that second.

I looked up from my thick book and saw how Georg shaked his butt and legs. I knew Tom had just slipped an ice cube in Georgs pants as a joke. Right now I wasn't realy up for a joke. I turned my attention to my book.

'Whataya readin'?'

Tom was hanging over the backseat of my chair, looking over my shoulder.

'You wouldn't be intrested.' I coldly said.

I looked at Tom from the corner of my eyes. He furrowed his eyebrows.

'If I wasn't intrested, then why would I ask?'

"Where are we going?"

I hear him ask the question. I hear him laugh for the thousand time this night. Only to be reminded that I'm not going to tell him where we are going. He has asked the question so many times, that I thought he would have known my answer by now. I'm not going to let him in on my secret. Not just yet. He must be patient, just a little while longer. I smile as I hear him groan in complain about not getting to know where we are going.

He didn't come back. I hadn't expected him to, but still I hoped he would. Maybe just to pick his shoes up, or his jacket. Maybe just to say he was sorry for leaving in such a hurry, or maybe for his own sake, to see me one more time. But, no, he didn't come around again. Not in two days, not even when a week had gone by. He still hasn't called, or come to get his stuff back. I hoped maybe he would. Just so I could see him one more time, so I could prove to myself that he was real. And not just a product of my fantasy.
